IL: Heightened observation deters sex offenders (Opinion)

The last place a convicted sex offender is going to repeat such a heinous crime is at the office of their probation officer.

That’s why the news the Illinois Legislature has more than doubled the funding for the Kankakee County Probation Department is good news indeed. Full Article

Typical government crap. Someone needs to check the facts before throwing money at the invented potential problem. It’s a total money grabbing scam by the probation department. They need to provide re-offense rates of RSO’s before the money and after the money. I’m not a prophet, but I’ll bet there is no change.

They call it a friendship festival. I look forward to hearing a drunk driver plowed threw it and killed a few people. It wouldn’t be the first time a drunk driver plowed threw a festival and added a hood ornament.

The entire basis of the citizen-stripping sex offender industry is the “fact” that sex offenders cannot help but lunge themselves like rabid dogs at any children they see in public. That proves the entire useless and wasteful probation and parole system is an abject failure and should be suspended immediately.

There is no need for probation or parole with sex offenders, our citizenship is revoked and we are under lifetime monitoring, even for those foolish enough to think once they complete their post-punishment punishment of registering that they are no longer watched and that they are citizens again. They aren’t. In some cases I suspect that unregistered convicted sex offenders are listed internally with police and watched more closely than the registered sex offenders.

More dangerous and costly crimes committed by Americans who are allowed to remain Americans have far greater recidivism rates, once again proving that probation and parole is simply welfare for people too cowardly to become real cops or chefs.

The entire system needs to be shut down, those employees sent out to fend for themselves and the money saved used to build larger prisons, fund good rehabilitation programs and counseling in prisons that actually work and provide incentives to employers to hire Americans and Former Citizen Detainees.

Give a woman a good job, with good therapy and tools to help her rather than herd her under a bridge, she will be less likely to kidnap and rape your kid. But hey, that makes sense and Americans do not have common sense. They only have empathy for terrorists, not for Former Citizen Detainees.
